System Home: Essays from the World House Project

System Home, a collection of essays from Year 1 of the World House Project (2006-2007), is a reflection of  each students’ research into one of the twelve identified systems that are needed in every home, regardless of location and culture. These systems include: water, food, waste, construction, air handling, energy, finance, mobility, communication, as well as social, spatial and identity aspects.

Each chapter presents a different system and its historical, present day and anticipated future relevance in our homes and how we live. Thoughts and theories are also pair to existing precedents from around the world.
