The Responsive Buildings Charrette
February 20-24th, 2014
Institute without Boundaries, School of Design
230 Richmond Street East, Toronto
Working in multidisciplinary, international teams, charrette participants will explore the design of responsive buildings and systems that meet the changing needs of local communities and regional gateways. The Charrette will focuses on four main typologies within Toronto: Neighbourhoods, Transit Nodes, Preservation Districts, and Industrial Districts. The designs being developed should address the short-term needs of residents in 2020, but also consider the functional transformation of the buildings over 15 years to 2035.
Stay tuned for charrette results!
