"Discover the Latest Tools and Ideas from Leading Practitioners & Design Thinkers"

About The Summer Institute

The Summer Institute at IwB initiative proposes a new educational model based on the needs of the 21st century professionals who aim to upgrade their competencies in a knowledge-based economy. With a look to the future, this unique program provides its participants with innovative tools and strategic methods required to solve complex social and organizational problems, and empower them to become successful creative thinkers, visionary practitioners and influential leaders.

The Summer Institute courses will be held at different locations of George Brown College campuses in downtown Toronto and their vibrant neighbourhoods. The dynamic fabric of the city and the insights of its leading practitioners interwoven with the knowledge of design thinkers from academia will create an exquisite experience for professionals who believe in the value of design and collaborative endeavours in bringing positive change.

Summer Institute courses are non-credit and interdisciplinary, and are offered to students, graduates, designers and other professionals during days in the months of June, July and August 2016 and within flexible formats. These courses are designed in a way that can be undertaken individually and without any admission requirements.
